The Best Quarantini Recipes for Zoom Happy Hour

The Best Quarantini Recipes for Zoom Happy Hour

Happy hour has been looking a little different these days. Tbh, we’re getting a little teary-eyed just thinking back to the times of hitting up our favorite local spot for an after-work cocktail (or two, or three…) with the girls. 🥺

But hey, this is the twenty-first century and we’ve got zoom + facetime + all kinds of apps and gadgets to keep in touch. 🙌 so whether it’s a double or some bubbles, put a date on the calendar for a virtual happy hour with the squad! Not a professional bartender? No worries, friend.

Here are 6 signature cocktail recipes from our team here at Enviroscent that you’re going to want to whip up!

  1. The mother earth mojito 🌎

Best suited for: the stay-at-home mom who wishes she were sipping cocktails poolside in Mexico instead of dipping toes in the backyard kiddie pool.

What you’ll need:

  • ½ oz prosecco
  • 1 ½ oz rum
  • 1 oz agave nectar or simple syrup
  • Oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Splash of lime sparkling water or club soda
  • 6 mint sprigs muddled
  • Crushed ice

How it’s made: toss it all in a shaker (or glass + stir)
Your bartender:  Lisa L., finance

  1. Rising red tide 💯

Best suited for: the bubbly aunt that is way too excited to play bartender but turns out missed her life’s calling…

What you’ll need:

  • 1 part pomegranate juice
  • 3 parts lemon lime soda (sprite or 7up work!)
  • A splash of maraschino cherry juice

*We noticed that bonnie forgot to call out what kind of liquor to put in this one. What a silly oversight. So, it's dealer's choice, but we like it with bourbon.*

How it’s made: combine all + garnish with a sassy cocktail umbrella or a lemon/lime wedge (everybody needs a life preserver 😉)

Your bartender:  Bonnie I., customer support

  1. O2 lover’s appletini 🍸

Best suited for: the tree hugger who goes the extra mile, even though it may take twice as long before they have a cocktail in hand.

What you’ll need:

  • 2 oz air vodka (ya, it’s a thing)
  • 1 oz fresh-squeezed granny smith apple juice
  • 1 oz iced tea (made from white or spiced tea)
  • 1 apple slice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 dashes of cinnamon
  • Top off with soda water

How it’s made: combine all liquid ingredients except soda water in a glass + stir with cinnamon stick. Garnish with apple slice + top off with soda water for extra bubbles.

Your bartender: Tamara K.,  innovation + product engineering (whose amazing forearm strength allows her to 'fresh-squeeze' juice from granny smith apples)

  1. Hold everything but the cabernet 🍷

Best suited for: the basic b* in all of us.

What you’ll need:

  • Red wine (we like cabernet, but no judgement if you use a blend)
  • A very large glass

How it’s made: pour, preferably until bottle is empty

Your bartender: jeremy n., marketing

  1. It’s getting hot in here 🔥

Best suited for: the southern belle who carries around those obnoxiously cute bottles of hot sauce in her purse

What you’ll need:

  • 2 tsp mike’s hot honey
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • 1 jigger bourbon
  • A splash of orange seltzer

How it’s made: combine everythangg in a highball glass + stir, then add ice. Garnish with your choice of orange slice + a maraschino cherry

Your bartender: Danielle N., operations

  1. The apple royale 🍎

Best suited for: the classy momma who’s just looking for that grammable quarantine cocktail moment

What you’ll need:

  • 2 ½ oz crown royal regal apple
  • ½ - 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 3 oz ginger beer (gosling's is where it’s at!)
  • Fresh lemon

How it’s made: mix first 3 ingredients in tall tumbler + add crushed ice. Squeeze a splash of fresh lemon juice to "float" on top. Add a garnish of fresh lemon slice if you’re feeling especially bougie.

Your bartender: Gloria G., ecommerce
